Hugo & Fred, Blitz co-founders, met 7 years ago and bonded over a common passion: bikes and mechanics.

For almost 5 years, they’ve been working together after work, first for friends, then for friends of friends, and well, the rest is history. In 2010, they took this crazy bet and decided to make a living from their hobby.
Since then, their know-how and skills, as well as their style, has grown up. They’ve managed to mix their love of old bikes, and old machines in general, with 80’s skateboard style and old US folk/rock music.
The product: old school handcrafted, raw customized and time polished bikes. Create unique stylish motorcycles; create unique life/road experiences and stories. From this ideal, Blitz was born.
When asked their favorite bike road trip souvenir, one of the guys replied: “So I imagine straight away California, the engine roaring, hair in the wind and a beautiful chick on the back…”
They often reminisce during their usual August road trip. They’ve been working on a bike for weeks, but this one is losing oil like  “war planes hit during a fight” and they have no idea why.
Still, you can imagine their delight after 6 hours on their knees, on the side of the road, under the hot sun, dripping sweet engine oil…  BLITZ is not just about nice bikes and 2 bearded fellows holed up in a small garage. It’s also a way of life, and a commitment to a certain lifestyle.

So speaking of lifestyle, the guys shared some of their favorite spots in Paris with Ten Days…

The burger “à la française”. We buy it to take away and devour it on our bike just in front of the restaurant: the best in town so far.

2-The Swedish Institute, 11 rue Payenne 75003

When the weather is hot, walking barefoot in the grass and sitting on weird-shaped benches in religious silence is a real pleasure, especially when you drive bikes 90db loud.
