Friends, fellow perfumers, editors, and industry legends gathered in Paris to celebrate the one and only Maurice Roucel, marking 50 years of audacity, elegance, and unapologetic sensuality in perfumery.

From his beginnings as a chemist in Chanel’s labs to the creation of iconic fragrances like Musc Ravageur for Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle, Maurice has never followed trends. He’s set them.
His signature? Bold structures, minimalist formulas, and a radical freedom that smells like no one else.

To crown this milestone, Maurice was named Master Ambassador of Symrise Fine Fragrance — a title that celebrates not only his past, but the inspiration he continues to spark across generations.

The evening felt exactly like one of his perfumes: rich, warm, full of character, with just the right touch of extravagance.
