Babylon Bis
Open until 8am on the weekends and until 530 or 6 starting Tuesday. It’s the best place to get dangerously amazing tasting food. Its a mix of African and Antilles cuisine. The hours are late night, perfect for the post-whatever the fuck I’m doing that has me up at those hours-dinner. It’s addictive and since one of my parents is from Haiti and the other from West Africa, it was made for me. A funny plus is the pictures on the wall of all the legendary people that have visited including anyone from Snoop Dogg to Rihanna or Stevie Wonder to Marvin Gaye.

Panda of Belleville
Great neighborhood and the best Vietnamese sandwich you can find under 3 bucks. The energy of the place is great. I’m a pescatarian and in Paris it’s not so simple to find cool places to find veggie-food on the run.

Le Pompon
This is a  real “familia” spot for me, for drinks on weeknights, even though I’m not a heavy drinker. I know everyone, I enjoy myself, I even often run into people I know from the States and it’s where I organize the “Eighties Sunset” nights. Reminds me of New York City. It’s Le Pompon, It’s just cool.

Montreuil flea Market
You can find anything here from vintage luxury brands to paint to that wire cable that is normally hard to find. I’m obsessed with plaids and crazy shirts that only your grandma would wear, so it’s where I like to look for all kind of unique items. Far from the center and the best market in Paris.

The Rivers of Paris Center (La Seine)
I think it’s a huge luxury for anyone in a city to be able to go and sit by the water and spend time meditating or writing. I don’t have this in my home city so, it might be something Parisians take for granted but I like to go here sometimes by myself and reflect on my ideas and next plans while I look across the water to the city and the architecture as inspiration. Reminds me of the song “Sitting on the Dock of the Bay”.

Palais de Tokyo/Musee art moderne
These two museums share the same building and have a great deal of art and design in both structures. The more traditional form of an exhibition can be found at Musee art moderne with some incredible and prolific artists or visionaries on display. Palais de Tokyo houses some great design and contemporary works and a forward thinking design shop. Been to some cool private events here. This is also where I launched my USB Cassette Magazine project in 2010.
