Hi guys,
Today we’re starting a new section of our website called “where to meet.” The concept is to ask artists and cultural figures we like to introduce us to their favorite places in Paris.
For the first publication, we asked one of our favorite Parisian bands: the punchi-electro-pop Jupiter! Known for their indie-blog-hits Starlighter and more recently Sake on the Kitsune Parisien compilation, they are currently working on their debut album.

American Bistrot: 74 rue de la Folie-Méricourt, XIe
One of our favorite restaurants in Paris, this burger joint is one of the best. They play loads of rock n’ roll, they have seating booths, and the food is home made with love. This one’s a keeper.
Chez Moune: 54 Rue Pigalle, IXe
Its dark, it’s sweaty, it’s messy, it’s everything we hate to love in a club. The music is brilliant, thanks to the one and only Guido and the drinks are cheap(er than most clubs). We actually happened to DJ there on a couple of occasions, so it can only be good.
Le Motel: 8 Passage Josset, XIe
This is where we had our release party for Saké. We drank lots of it too, and so did the people packed in there that night. It’s actually packed most of the time, which is unsurprising seen as the staff, the cocktails, and the music are all excellent.
Aki: 11 Rue Sainte-Anne, Ier
While this might not be the best Japanese restaurant in the neighborhood, it’s certainly not the worst and it clearly beats the rest when it comes to katsu curry and okonomiyaki (their specialty). It also happens to be open all day long, so if you’re craving Japanese food at 4 in the afternoon, this is your place.
La Loge: 77 rue de Charonne, XIe
This theater is as charming as it’s small: very much so. You’re never quite sure what you’re in for, a tragedy or a Monty Pythonesque performance or even a concert, but the one recurrent aspect is quality. Oh and did we mention they have a bar too?
