After arriving in Paris in 2006, Gaelle started working in the epic club le Paris Paris. She used to sew her own clothes and, cheered on by her friends, she decided to go further. In 2010 she won the young talent contest at the fashion fair Who’s Next. All her pieces are chosen from vintage stores all over the world, then rethought and reworked in a contemporary way. During the last Cannes Film Festival, she also launched Pimp My Shoes, a collection of shoe jewelery. She tells us about the spots where she likes to spend her time in Paris.

Le Baron
It’s specially the place made for the moments when I have to release everything. It’s a place where there are only friends–my best friends work there. It’s family and it’s where my Parisian journey started! In fact I arrived in Paris in 2006 and worked at le Paris Paris. La clique “m’a pris sous son aile” and I found a nest there.

Le Juan Chito
It’s a small Colombian restaurant near Pere Lachaise and it’s so good!!! It’s our Sunday restaurant. We go there to meet up because with this crazy life we don’t really have time to spend together. If there is Juan Chito on Sunday nobody can refuse it!

My Workshop
My workshop in Vincennes with all my little swarming interns!!!
We’re lucky enough to have a space in a big studio, so there’s lots of mutual aid and great artistic energy. I love this place!
Le Bois de Vincennes
My lungs, my oxygen–it’s on my way to work. In summer I have lunch in the woods–it’s a blast for lunch break! From the terrace of the studio we see the woods stretch out to the horizon. It’s like an anime by Miyazaki–I like to imagine that the woods are full of little animals that we cannot see.
La Petite Fripe
It’s a great address and the boss Lhassan is hyper cool. We can find great shoes there and a super selection of men and women’s clothing. It’s a really great address to find treasures.
