Simple, practical lines are the signature style of the clothes designed by David Sarfati for his 13 Bonaparte brand. With a shop that opened at the end of 2012 (2 bis de la rue de Normandie) and a new collection in the works, David took a few minutes to share with us his favorite spots in Paris.

-Le comptoir de l’image /  44, rue de Sévigné Paris 3.

A really nice selection of photographers, old and rare editions. It’s always pleasant to discuss with Michel, the owner and himself a photographer–he is full of stories about the photographers he’s worked with. The place is very small and the books are in stacks, but it’s very well organized! I go there often for my research for my collections. The fun fact is that I often run into Xavier Cariou there, the photographer with whom I’ve been working since the creation of 13 Bonaparte.

– La cave de Vivant / 43, rue des Petites – Ecuries Paris 10.

Very small and narrow, but with a selection of great natural wines. The counter is pleasant and the decor is authentic.

– Toraya / 10 rue Saint Florentin Paris 1.

Calm. A nice green tea prepared by French press! Maybe even green tea-flavored chocolate and some sweets that are as nice to look at as they are to eat.

Musée du jeu de Paume / 1 Place de La Concorde Paris 8.

Probably my favorite place in Paris. It’s a bubble in the middle of the bustle, as if time had stopped. I can spend hours there! My passion for photography brings me to visit this place regularly, often on Sunday and always with the same pleasure that comes from crossing the sublime Jardin des Tuileries. The bookstore has maybe one of the best selections in Paris. I spend hours there.

– Le Louxor, sa terrasse / 170 Bd Magenta Paris 10.

I discovered le Louxor while researching for my next collection. It has an amazing view, with the feeling of being somewhere else, which is vital in Paris. For me, as someone who loves to find inspiration from the urban panorama, it’s a luxury. Ethnic, mixed.
