Paris nightlife is dead, you say? On the contrary, Paris nightlife almost killed us in 2K12: too much champagne, too many dunk models, and too many reasons to throw a great party every week. That’s why it seemed very important to do a list of the top 5 parties we attended this past year–so that we have no regrets if 2k13 is the year of a well-deserved liver cancer.

(Spoiler: we are #0)

5: Woodkid Performance at Eiffel Tower

Intel gave Vice loads of money to put together the biggest hipster event of the year. The concept: Music meets Fashion. To ensure it would be the biggest hipster event of the year they did something very simple: they combined the hippest designer (JCDC), the cool indie guy of the moment (Woodkid), and the most known place on earth: The Eiffel Tower.

4: Dior Aftershow at Social Club

Social Club is usually crowded with hipster teens dancing to performances from top DJs and engaging in drunken make-out sessions. This time it was the same, but different. Still electronic music, still a party culminating in drunken hook-ups, but this time the teens were not hipsters but male supermodels doing what drunk male supermodels do best… Oh, and Olivier Zahm, Jared Leto, and Kris Van Assche were also at the party.

3: Prix Lafayette X Toilet Paper Magazine

La FIAC seems boring as fuck: old people and culture-lover-wannabes looking at overpriced art. But surprisingly it turned out to be one of the best moments of the year when Maurizio Cattelan decided to bring all the art world and some Italian beauties to Maxim’s. Oh mama!

2: This Is New York at le Regine

A total classic of fashion week: drunk models, drunk NYC cuties, and drunk stylists. This one at le Regine was crazy. Can’t wait for the next women’s fashion week for another epic Sunday night party at le Regine

1: Jalouse Prom Ball

Cocktail dresses, high heels, and tuxedos? Seems a bit cheesy. But not when it’s organized by Jalouse. Jalouse is by far the coolest fashion magazine in town, which is why they’ve got all the coolest friends and know the cutest Parisian girls.

0: Ten Days in Paris 2-Year Anniversary Party at l’Inconnu

Yes, sorry Jalouse, but we were responsible for the party of the year! No need for the Eiffel Tower–just take over the new cool spot in town (L’Inconnu) and bring top Djs (the model Mae Lapres and GLD & Manare, the upcoming Parisian sensations  of Youngunz). The result: loads of cute drunk chicks, cupcakes, and a week-long hangover.
