
As a backpacker, Olivier Halsman Rosenberg crossed India, immersing himself in his spirituality and his movement. Due to the small size of his bag, he could not take a lot of stuff, and his beautiful pictorial work is executed on small pieces of different materials : eucalyptus paper, rice paper… with henna, gouache paint or even with incense burns.
We begin to fully realise that natural resources are not unlimited, and we are already often asked to be careful in our consumption: his art shows a possible route, that of the control and accuracy that does not harness but actually fosters creativity.
