On tuesday 20th of October, on the eve of FIAC, MAD Agency hosted the opening of ‘TRACES’ -Jean-Louis Germain’s retrospective exhibition of paintings made between 1967 and 2015- at Loft Sévigné in the Marais. In between the large format canvases, the crowd was an interesting mix of generations, highlighting the 55 year age gap between the artist and the curator. Arte Povera inventor and legend, Janis Kounellis could be seen rubbing shoulders with famed french collectors Guerrand-Hermès, Villegrain and Puget whilst gallerists Jean-Gabriel Mitterand and Jean-Jacques Dutko mixed with the younger crowd before heading to a dinner on the legendary Place des Vosges.

From October 20th to November 1st
