Wednesday is the French labor day, a.k.a. National Hangover Day. Since you all worked so hard this year, we’ll take care of that hangover. We’re taking over the recently opened 79 club for a lavish party on Tuesday, April 30th. We expect loads of models dancing and booze flowing. To bring the good vibes to the Champ Elysées, we are coming with Is Tropical (Kitsune/ UK), Manare (CleckCleckBoom/ FR) and a warm-up by the TDIP DJ Crew X Megaforce.

Is Tropical are a trio from England. Formed in London in 2009, IS TROPICAL first came to international attention with the release of their debut single “When O’ When” released on Hit Club Records in January 2010, produced by Al Al Al (The Big Pink / Klaxons/ Duran Duran). IS TROPICAL’ have announced the release of their second album ‘I’m Leaving’ on 20th May 2013 on KITSUNÉ / Cooperative Music. The album was produced by Luke Smith (Foals, Depeche Mode).
Manaré: born and raised in paris in the early 90s, manaré coly’s early musical education spanned everything from miles davis to warp record’s legend aphex twin. although for simplicity’s sake you might describe Manaré’s sound as ghetto & uk influenced house & bass; that really doesn’t pin him down. his eclectic musical origins certainly still inform his selection today, reflected in wide variety of places he has been asked to play; from sao paulo to singapore, astana or new york.
Megaforce is the inspired collective of directors based in Paris whose unique style of filmmaking is showcased on the new Is Tropical video, “Dancing Anymore“. Quirky storytelling with a lo-fi aesthetic and brilliant sparks of animation, watch out for Megaforce.
