The brand new Parisian concept store « nous » lead by Sebastien Chapelle opens its doors during the Men’s Paris Fashion Week. For the official launch, « nous » immersed trendsetters into the street culture universe featuring artworks from Wooden Sneakers, an exclusive workshop with Ceizer Tatoo and unique cocktails experiences. Since its opening, the concept store offers the best of contemporary culture; from streetwear to designers, the latest hi-tech trends, accessories to men’s watches and luxury goods. Thought as an inspirating place, « nous » explores urban influences to find the essentials of tomorrow based on the international trends and the classics of today.

So its Men’s FALL- WINTER 14/15 Fashion Week in Paris – and we all know what that means…a week of fashion shows, presentations, Cab Catching under the rain and most importantly after parties with drunk men models going HAM.  Sure we care about the clothes, but lets focus on what to do after the sun goes down…

 

Le Pompon & Jackets take the Left Bank (For the PFW week end) 

Good things come to those who wait, or so the saying goes. This Fashion Week, Tajer & Whelan the duo behind Le Pompon and Jackets have prepared a Fashion Week special at le Don K and le Saint-Peres, two legendary spots of the left bank.
Le Pompon will commandeer the magnificent upstairs cabaret, playing host to Pigalle x Frank 151 on the friday and Colette on the saturday while Jackets has taken over the downstairs on friday for grubby, dive-rock goodness in the form of the April77 aftershow party.

We’re informed that this will be the last pop-up before the new Pompon and Jackets open later this year so there’s a chance it could ‘get busy’ (as Sean Paul would say).

clus·ter- fuck·ery ( Kluhs-ter-fuhk-ery): Defined as the Colette Call Party hosted at the Grand Palais.

Last night we rolled up to the Cinema Paradiso X Colette Party and thank god we didn’t take our ADHD meds as there were boundless options of shit to partake in. Guests indulged on the finest of hot dogs from the pop-up diner, fucked around with arcade games ( the good old-school kind), watched films from the “drive-in” movie theatre ( which is massive by the way) , drank Moet & Chandon and all the while listening to a masterful line up of Busy P, Boston Bun, Boombass, Pilooksi, Clement and last but not least, Coma from Kompakt. I’m pretty sure we’re all hurting today, but for good reason: Cluster Fuckery.

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Tour de France, Melinda Gloss teamed up with French bike shop Héritage Paris on a capsule collection and bike set to be displayed at colette from June 10 to June 16.

Age sixteen is sweet. it’s the age when dreams comes true and when it’s still okay to put on a crown and dress up pretty in pink like a princess.
For its annual march birthday clebration, Sarah Andelman and Colette invested the fabled Le Privilege VIP party room, beneath Le Palace which was, back in the late 70s and early 80s the hottest spot in Paris by night. Guests danced in a sea of mink balloons, sang Karaoke with the asian collective Yellow Ghetto, got all dolled up with crowns and makeup sessions on the club’s balcony, enjoyed pink champagne from Zarb and Beats by Dre and admired Sarah’s amazing Barbie glitter dress

Max Snow, the prominent black and white photographer thrilled us once again with his breathtaking pictures inspired by  Alfred Tennyson’s poem: ” The Lady of Shalott”.  The exhibition at Colette features photographs that play with light and the abstract themes that represent Tennyson’s piece.  The body of work serves as a reminder of female beauty in the midst of men’s fashion week. Thanks to the denim clad band “Vanités”, who played their terrific new tracks to the beautiful crowd sipping champagne at the boutique.

Colette Music Box celebrated the 10 year anniversary of Andrea Crews in an intimate concert at Le Tigre. Cool performances were given by Rikyslyd, Twin Twin Featuring Kumi Solo, and it ended with a very charismatic Cata Pirata introducing the sounds of her South African inspired album, “Riots of the Jungle”, with her band Skip & Die.

Thank god we always have an excuse to party during fashion week, but this time we found three new reasons to enjoy gold champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries at Colette’s boutique, a magnet for the worldly set: the fifteenth anniversary of the eternal “baguette” Fendi bag (with the elegant Karl always present when we need him), as well as the launch party for Anja Rubik’s “25” magazine and for Baba’s new jewelry collection.
