Fashion Week, David Lynch & Card Member

We’re a bit late to talk about this one but we try to save the best things for last.

Named after the club in the cult movie Mulholland Drive, this place is run by Savoir Faire (DJ booking agency and the team in charge of the teen electro club Social Club) with the design by legendary indie director David Lynch.

This time Savoir Faire is targeting an older, richer, creative-industry crowd, aiming to compete with le Baron, le Montana, and Raspoutine.  Over-hyped beginning six months before the opening and with the inauguration delayed many times, this place maintained a kind of mysterious aura due to the rumors of a card member system, the association with David Lynch, and the size of the place.

Opened in the beginning of September it was one of the Fashion Week hotspots (they hosted events for a ridiculous amount of money and it was the place to meet a drunk Lindsey Lohan). Much more fancy than the dirty and mysterious club in Mulholland Drive, Le Silencio is maybe one of the most beautiful hangouts in Paris, on a par with le Raspoutine, hosting relevant gigs, food and cultural events–including film projections–for a trendsetting crowd. Sadly, even if the girls are usually really hot, in regular nights it doesn’t get as crazy and warm as places like le Baron due to the huge space.
