The ”Perception of Strange” is the theme of INEXPLORE’s first exhibition last Thursday in a beautiful workshop in Paris’s arty 9th arrondissement. The five artists featured worked without limitations and although each created separately their pieces flowed into eachother. MMav, masters of the meticulous, took over one large wall with complex kaleidoscopic panels revealing a delicate network of monsters and skulls. Lucas Nguyen created anairy fourth dimension with his series of tattooed vegetables and fruits, while Fashion photographer Alice Kong added a nervous touch to her usual languid style. This was a multimedia show so Inexplore’s co-curators Karlotta (Charlotte Schwarzinger) previewed her first short film on a stack of cathodiques televisions and Gus displayed his graphic portraiture (people and animals) on motorcycle parts, shoes and other unusual places. The show is on until through next Thursday June 12th from 2:00-7:00 PM.
