For the first top 5 I decided to deal with the underrated parts of Paris. Considered by right-bankers (and some left-bankers) as boring, too bourgeois and too far away, the Left Bank has a few real gems concentrated around the Boulevard Saint Germain that have no equivalents on the Right Bank.

Le Cafe de Flore

Famous café on the Boulevard Saint Germain, its terrace is always a great spot for a coffee before heading off to a small club. The headquarters of Simone de Beauvoir and Jean-Paul Sartre back in the day, now you ll meet notorious author Beibeder or graffiti artist/nightlife mogul Andre

La Palette

A warm bar with welcoming yet often overwhelmed waiters due to the success of this small bar, where the proximity of the tables means conviviality. Of course the terrace is packed with Beaux Arts students and bourgeois as soon the temperature is above 5 degrees.

Prescription cocktails club

Hotspot of la rue Mazarine, you can sip sophisticated cocktails (we specially love the one with absinthe). Velvet couches, super-stylish girls and dandies; you will surely be seduced by the vibe.

Opened by Andre (le Baron, la Fidelité, Chez Moune…) and Olivier Zahm (Purple Fashion) during Fashion Week, le Montana is today considered as the little brother of le Baron. The space is small but the fame factor is big: producers, models, actors, stylists… An unavoidable place during Fashion Week.

Curio Parlor

le Curio Parlor

It s a club/cocktail bar that we have a special affection for.  You can find us playing music or simply hanging out drinking cocktails. The décor, characterized by taxidermy animals and intimate alcoves, makes this place a real cabinet des curiosités. Located in a small street of the 5th district, le Curio Parlor is an unavoidable stop for fashionistas and other hipsters.
