It had been a while since the Die Nacht crew showed us that Paris can be edgy and underground. Parisian fans of the Berlin style “nacht” had almost given up waiting for this first party of the new year and the tickets sold out within a few hours. This was the first night of a new and much-hyped residency which is taking place at a series of secret locations around Paris.

This time, slap in the middle of the concrete jungle of the BNF, a strange wooden hut became Hansel and Gretel’s gingerbread house for one night. Electro kids and pillheads, pretty girls and beardy media types: everyone was under the spell as DJs Andrade and Clément Meyer ensured there was something very dark and freaky going on in the woods…
