Coinciding with the 60th anniversary of Berry Gordy Jr founding the label in Detroit, Michigan, Carhartt WIP has created a thirteen-piece capsule collection that celebrates the idiosyncrasies of an imprint that reshaped American culture. The cover art and promo pictures for Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On” influence a sateen bomber and rolled beanie, while aspects of Motown’s history are referenced on a selection of graphic T-shirts and hoodies.
