The place that is named after a joyful bird, and since its opening has been packed for lunch everyday. One detail : it is 100% veggie (not only veg-friendly, but pure veggie). In Paris, where the word “vegetarian” sounds like an insult to the bon-vivant, the success of this chirruping cafe thumbs its beak at the entrecôte sinon rien poseurs.

The fauna inside ? No pale pull-over and socks activists but the trendy Nord-Marais crowd : it looks like Café Pinson just sucked up its neighbour’s – the cool Nanashi – clientele, thanks to its innovative, refreshing food. Order a smooth juice Air frais, (spinach, apple, carott and fir tree essential oil), and enjoy it in the bright and cosy space created by Dorothée Meilichzon.
