Summer officially begins this year in Paris at the We Love Green Festival! Why should you get your ass down to Parc de Batagelle on 31 May and 1 June? There are many reasons but here are the top 5…

Welcome to Utopia…

Parc-de-Bagatelle2

Never ventured to the Parc de Batagelle? Make We Love Green the reason. This isn’t your typical mud bath of a festival space like many other music events this summer. Oh no no no it’s in Paris remember…get prepared to lose yourself in the magical gardens full of secret pathways, bridges, rose gardens and caves that compose the park. Cool from its beginnings, the enchanting park was built in 1775 as wager between Marie Antoinette and her brother-in-law, the Count of Artois, who bet that he could not turn the land into a park in 64 days. Luckily for us he won paving the way for music festivals and summer chilling galore! Cheers to you Monsieur!

Look at me I’m saving the planet!

This festival is totally guilt free. It’s called We Love Green for a reason. Yes that’s right it is 100% bio-friendly, which makes it 100% acceptable to drink beer (all be it organic) and act the fool whilst subconsciously respecting the beautiful mother earth! Solar panels, wind panels, sustainable development…all those terms we should really understand but don’t will be put in place to create the ultimate ecologically flower-child vibe. If you think about it, it’s truly an act of kindness smashing up this festival. Peace, Love and Understanding brothers.

Your hipster playlists on repeat

If the whole Eco friendly and stunning setting isn’t quite your vibe then surely the music should suffice. An eclectic mix of indie meets electronic meets contemporary cool from the likes of London Grammar, Lorde, Foals, SBTRKT, Cat Power, Little Dragon, Earl Sweatshirt, Joy Orbison plus many others should definitely get those natural juices flowing.

Organically Charged for your hipster credibility

No greasy unprocessed, crappy festival food here. We Love Green means eating well. You can cancel your yoga and pilates classes this week people! Along with the all the dancing and strutting around thinking you’re Vanessa Hudgens or Jared Leto at Coachella, the food should leave you satisfied and with your hipster cred in toll. Everything is locally produced and 100% organic. Go wild at the smoothie bars or let loose in the pasta, salad and burger joints. This festival is for you foodies.

Golden Mecca for eye-candy, yes please!

Ok so the food, music, organic-ness still aint doing it? Really? Well at least head down for the eye-candy on display. Sizzle in the sun and people watch the crap out of the creative art freaks, geek-chic, hipster guys/gals and free spirits that will be making an appearance at this two-day event. Everyone knows that anything goes so let the hippy within in you flourish and flaunt yourself frivolously. Who knows maybe you’ll find love, or at least a two-day fling, within the hopelessly romantic backdrop.

We Love Green takes place on Saturday 31 May and Sunday 1 June at Parc de Bagatelle, 75016.
