After spending a year wasted, it seems very important for us to make an article summing up the best parties of 2011, just to figure out if it was worth it or if we should go back to our primary career as CIO in a CAC 40 company. For this season we picked the usual fashion week parties: the grand life crew parties with all the usual NYC people and the Terry Richardson “Mom and Dad” party. I also really enjoyed discovering les Chandelles without my girlfriend and the limitless spending at the Nokia party.
N05- Ten Days In Paris party at Le Carmen
Humbly coming in at the 5th top party of the year, we had real blast. We booked a trash Parisian rock band from the label Born Bad rec in the smart and cozy Carmen. Then after our usual mix, the Teenagers did an edgy DJ set to kick our Jameson-ed asses (thanks to Michelle from Ricard).

N04- Terry Richardson “Mom Dad” Party at Rive Gauche
During the most recent PFW, Terry picked the improbable club le Rive Gauche (which you might never hear of again) to celebrate the launch of his book “Mom Dad”.  It was definitely a nice time to party with all his crew and to see the top of the fashion sector (especially a Brazilian journalist from fashion TV…) dance like nobody’s watching to a surprising  half casual/ half dub step Dj set by Pedro Winter.

No3- Nokia Amazing Night at Hotel Solomon RothschildÂ
For sure it wasn’t the best party atmosphere of the year, but the booking was immoderate and the venue was absolutely breathtaking. It started with a controversial live performance from Lana Del Rey, a super edgy mix by Mark Ronson, then a kick-ass live mix by 2Many DJ’s, and it ended with the usual Busy P DJ set .

N02- This is NY party at Le Régine
Speaking of party atmosphere? That’s what it’s all about here. No crazy booking, no unusual venue, or fountain of champagne–just the usual NYC Djs (Franco V, Mike Nouveau, Mia Moretti) that you could see every night over there, at the good old Regine, and a 2-hour open bar of cheap vodka on a Sunday night… But the Grand life crew defenitely brought with them the New York groove, and everybody followed them (Jared Leto, André Saraiva etc).

N01- Vitamin Water XXX at les Chandelles
If you’ve never heard of it (and I doubt it), Les Chandelles is the most celebrated Parisian swingers club. This private club is a closed door for most people, but you may find some dirty celebrities or just sexually bored middle-aged rich couples. Many reasons stopped me from going there before: first, I’ve never been able to convince my girlfriend that it was a good idea, plus I can’t have sex if my father is in the same room.  Anyway, Vitamin Water hired La Clique (le Baron crew) to organize the launch party of the new VW flavor at Les Chandelles. A very limited number of guest were invited to lose themselves in the labyrinthine sex club. Some dirty stuff happened that night but we weren’t involved …
